New habits!

On the weeks we have to go to do the major grocery task.... Well we go eat pizza first! We've been doing this a while now which really helps me because I HATE to go to shop for food! I love to cook when I'm in the mood, but shopping yuck! So it's a bribe to myself of sorts! And we don't end up getting stuff we don't really need except for this week that dang dozen of donuts got into the cart.....oh well....

Snack bar is open !

Oh what a treat! A nice quiet snowy morning! A cup of coffee, my computer for reading some blogs, the animals fed and having a morning nap, a phone call from a friend. Can't get much better... Well I was to have a massage this morning, but we rescheduled due to the rapidly falling snow! Living in a rural area means for me not going out on no work days. If I can help it staying home getting work done.

And on this morning the cafe is open to many , cardinals, blue jays, sap suckers, Downey wood peckers, junkos, so many more so fun to enjoy with a snowy back drop! Their colors just seem to pop! And it's very easy to tell the pecking order is all about size! So where ever you are this morning I hope you enjoy the photos from the cafe!

Sunshine

Today I'm so grateful for the sunshine! Last night was a clear night. Looked like you could just touch the stars. But you couldn't cause it was just too cold to hang out for long. Last night Will and I did chores together, and on the way into the house we got the added benefit of a clear beautiful starry sky . It was only 645 I hope my families from school were able to view the sky as well. Yesterday we made the Big Dipper out of a tin can nail and hammer ! Well they loved using the hammer and nail the Big Dipper may have been lost on them not sure. But if they were to see it in the sky well they will get it at some point... But today is a very nice sunny cold day. But colder is coming so trying to get ready for it today and this week end. Enjoy it while we can!

No body wants to get up!

Ill never understand people who own a dog and leave them chained up outside? What's the point?

Empty nest

I sleep with a dog! As well as watch tv, get the mail, read a book, read blogs, eat, chores, take a walk and yes even yoga! My jack russel terrier, my 4 year old pound puppy. I've had him for almost all of his life. He was my divorce present to myself. Does everyone get a divorce present for themselves ? Mmmm that would be an interesting poll to take ? And what kind of gift was it? Mmm sometimes I can't even believe the things I think. Anyway this post is about not wanting to get up in the mornings. I had one of those mornings today. It was raining and yes still dark. I had woke up the first time wide awake 2 hours before I needed to get up. Ugh I hate that. Then wouldn't you know it about 10 minutes before your alarm is due to go off you doze into the best sleep ever which makes you then want to never get up, ever the rest of your life.

Iam trying to get back into some kind of yoga routine. I went to a class ( over my head) on Monday night on Tuesday I took 13 preschoolers sledding! Eeeek SORE muscles today ! Everytime I clear out the living room just enough to lie down
And do yoga to a video ok, cd, the moment I lie down on the floor the doggies think its time for fun with mom and start the play fighting ect.
It really is a zoo around here. When I came home from work today the horses were at the gate to meet me. So was delight one of my llamas, except she was on the wrong side of the gate. I still don't know how she gets out. If I wasnt so lazy when we had snow on the ground I should have followed her foot prints around to see where she has been escaping. But I didn't .

In other news today the rain has started to melt the snow, we made a snowman at school. And had a snowball fight, I should tell you I won. Well my opposing team members all 13 of them sure got some good shots in my feet were soaked in my boots. It was truly so much fun! I was only teasing about the I won part my goodness none are over 3 1/2 feet tall. But they sure had big smiles when they made a direct hit! Lots of laughing. This is what we need to do more of with our children! Play have fun be outside!

Playing with the dogs is so much fun with the snow, I throw a snowball they run and can't find it any where they look. They are such clowns. And sure make me laugh. The above picture is of lucky.....he didn't want to get out of bed this morning either!

New year

Photos for last post!

New year!

Well here it is! I feel a little like Eeyore! Just trying to get over the sickness that stole most of my Christmas! But here it is vacation is over. So nice to get back to school the children never fail to make me smile or laugh at myself mostly. We got about 6to 8 inches of snow the day after Christmas. It's still here. Oh how I do love snow. On new years eve we drove out to the lake and let go of  2012! We lit a few of our sky lanterns and let 2012 go, we watched as they floated out of site. It was snowing what a beautiful evening. I highly recommend the sky lanterns. At a dollar a piece you can't beat them. Fun for grown ups too. Then we took a few trips down the sledding hill that we were parked by. What fun. Yes gonna try for more fun in 2013!

And speaking of evening chores...... It is one of those things I dread and one of those things I love I dread going out into the cold but once suited up, and in the barn I love it. The animals are happy to see you ( because you have their dinner) and you are happy to see them. It's a good chance to just see how everyone is getting along. I must remind myself to call the ferrier soon. Well it appears this is all I'm able to get out today as the ol iPad is giving me fits so enjoy your evenings with or without chores.
